How to Clean Silver Jewellery Containing Pearls

925 silver may tarnish with oxidation. First use a silver polishing cloth and polish the entire surface of your jewellery; it can remove the oxidation and will buff away tarnish. Jewellery stores and large department stores' jewellery sections carry the silver polishing cloths. After using the polishing cloth mix a small amount of baking soda with a little bit of hand soap or detergent (do not use cleaners that contain ammonia). Using a medium soft toothbrush (a used brush will be fine), brush the silver surface gently then rinse with warm water and carefully dry your jewellery gently with a paper towel. The final step is to use the silver polishing cloth again to buff away any remaining tarnish and bestow a tarnish resistant barrier at the same time.
